About the Event
We have a special event planned for our June 1 workday! We have partnered up with the Colorado Springs Mountain Biking Association (COSMBA) and Pikes Peak APEX to have a mountain biking-oriented trail work day. We will also be hosting our trash and dog waste cleanups as well.
For the trail work day, we first plan to start with an 8:30 am group ride with APEX Race Course Director Daniel Matheny for a sneak-peak, no-drop ride of stage 1 of the APEX race that will take place June 7-9.
Then, around 10:30 am we will drop the bikes off at the Lazyland Pavilion bike valet and pick up some tools to do trail work from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
At 1:30 pm, we will wrap things up and have some lunch, non-alcoholic drinks, music, games, and great company lasting until around 5:00 pm. All volunteers are invited to join the 1:30 get-together whether you helped with trail work, trash cleanup, or dog waste cleanup.
